Yea, it seems to have disappeared. My buddy Kevn Kinney plays with Audley quite a bit and Steve was/is in Black Crowes; drivin n cryin's second drummer was original drummer in Mr. Crowes Garden, which became Black Crowes. Atlanta is a pretty small scene. Not what you asked, but hey, you got.

And yesterday sent an offer on RT - fingers crossed to get him in the venue.

Thanks for that. It's great to see (and hopefully hear at some point) such a fluid music scene - Jackie Greene never seems short of a gig, anyway.

Good luck with landing Mr T. I've heard a couple of auds from the current tour and he is still very definitely bringing it.

I don't know who the John Butler Trio are, but after a little digging they are Aussie and have many live vids out, some w/ millions of hits. Someone loves them long time. Just two for Ocean >

Only by name and reputation, which is good. Never seen or heard them. Right now listening to The Stone Foxes. We have them on May 3rd with a band I really like, The Soft White Sixties. Both SF area bands.

Just got a log-in for this site after poking around over the weekend. Have really gotten into the dead at a new level in the past year and this site has been a great resource for music, ideas, links and many things dead related.
Done a great deal of listening and reading about the dead and the journey in the last few years has ended up in some very strange, interesting places. Shouldn't be surprised as the dead constantly throw curveballs.
Posting hear in defense of GOV as I've had the pleasure to attend the last 3. Fun stuff, lots of great folks and some fabulous music. A far as John Butler at the Vibes this year, I can guarantee all he will be one of the highlights. Didn't know him until I stalked into staying for the last show on Sunday at Vibes 2 year ago. Simply Blown Away and in the last 3 years of many festivals, my # 1 show, I've seen. What a player with great songs and stage persona. Kinda like goin back in time, as he seems to be a throwback from the late 60's without being fake. See this band, you will be blown away.
